It had to take me three reads to decipher the meaning behind this message. I never knew I was such a significant person to her, I always thought I was never enough. That afternoon when her whole world was broken in a matter of seconds, I didn't even give her a hug, when I could have. I walked away to avoid trouble when all I should've done was give her my shoulders. I assured myself I'd make the right choices. But I still carry that guilt today. Even if it should be kept in the past. You know, when that useless feeling you once had still lingers around? Maybe I'm just being paranoid and such, but I truly am sorry Lilian.
